We don’t require access to the house – we do however require access to power. This is normally done by an extension lead left out the window.

Can you do a re-roof in the winter?

Whether it is Summer or Winter Expert Roofing will be able to put your new roof on. In winter it may mean waiting a little longer so we can find some preferable weather as we won’t take your roof off if it is raining. We will only remove as much of the old roofing material that we will be able to replace that same day.

How long does the average re-roof take?

A re-roof usually takes between 3 and 7 days depending on the size of the roof and the complexity of the roof structure. We can let you know how long we expect it to take when you book your job with us.

How much notice do I need to give you before you will come and put on my new roof?

We normally work about a month in advance. When you book your job with us we will be able to give you an estimated time of install. The more notice you can give us the better as we are influenced by the weather but we will keep in touch with you and let you know if things change or the weather has delayed us in any way.

Yes. We can and do change out rotten timber at the time of reroofing. If the roof has noticeable sag this is also the time for this to be fixed, we would recommend liaising with your own builder or we can refer someone to you.

Can you put insulation in the roof cavity at the same time as installing our new roof?

Yes, we do this on a regular basis. It’s the perfect time to install the batts while the roof is off.

Is it government subsidized?

No – You have to use an authorised installer to get the government subsidy.

Can you clean out our gutters?

This is done at the time of re-roofing at no extra charge.

Is a building or council consent required for re-roofing?

Generally not when re-roofing in ‘like for like’ materials. We advise to contact you council before beginning any alterations to your home or building, however often, consent is not required when re-roofing with the same materials as removed, which we term ‘like for like’.

Can I convert my metal or concrete tiled roof to longrun?

Yes, we have done many types of conversions, and converting from a tiled roof into a longrun is a procedure our roofers have done many times.
